In Q2 of 2024, the fast food and fast casual dining space saw varied performance across popular restaurant apps on the Android platform in the US. Here's a quick bite of how these apps fared, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
The McDonald's app showed an increase in downloads, starting at 5K in the first week of April and peaking at 9K in early June. Weekly active users followed an upward trend, growing from 106K to 190K by mid-June.
KFC Nederland also experienced a rise in downloads, with numbers initially at 2K and reaching 2.8K towards the end of May. Weekly active users climbed modestly from 5.2K to 6.1K in the same period.
Domino's Pizza Nederland downloads fluctuated, with a high of 2.7K in mid-April and a low of 1.9K at the quarter's start and end. Active users peaked at 13.7K in early April but dipped to around 10.4K by the end of June.
The Burger King Nederland app saw its downloads vary, with a slight increase mid-quarter to 2K before dropping to 1.3K in early June. Weekly active users peaked at 18.3K at the start of April, with a gradual decrease to 14.2K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, the McDonald’s Deutschland app had the lowest numbers, with downloads starting at 230, spiking to 540 at the end of April, and settling at 351 by late June. Active users showed a modest increase from 4.5K to 5.1K mid-quarter before ending at 4.8K.
